Before we went live, we handed jars of GLOW to a bunch of real people. Friends of friends. Gym pals. A couple of fake-tan loyalists. A few guys who just wanted to look less tired. Different skin tones, different ages, different routines. No studio touch-ups. Just life.
We asked them to take two gummies a day with food and report back. Here’s the tea.
Who we sent it to
We wanted a mix that looked like real life. Very fair, olive, and deep skin. Redheads and easily flushed skin. Tan lovers and tan avoiders. People who already use mousse every week, and people who only see a spray booth before a wedding. A few with sensitive tummies. A few men who said they would try anything once.
No one changed their skincare. SPF stayed the same. The only new thing was GLOW.
How they used it
The rule was simple. Two gummies a day with food. That was it. Morning smoothie, lunch, or after dinner. Whatever worked.
If anyone felt unsure in week one, they started with one gummy a day, then moved to two. We told them to keep doing life. Gym. Office. School drop off. Sun when it happens, but SPF always.
What they felt, and when
The most common pattern looked like this.
Weeks 2 to 4
The first comments were not about colour. They were about evenness. Words like “less splotchy” and “my chest looks calmer” came up a lot. Very fair skin noticed a tiny peach warmth that felt natural.
Weeks 6 to 8
This was the big shift. People started getting the “you look well” comment. Undertones looked warmer, not orange. Olive and deeper tones said their colour looked more even, like a soft filter. Fair skin said makeup matched better and there were fewer panic days.
Weeks 12 to 16
The glow held while they kept chewing daily. A few people paused for a week on holiday or when they forgot to reorder. The colour softened gently and came back again once they restarted.
Not everyone noticed things at the same time. Some did not see much until week eight. That is normal. Carotenoids build quietly in the outer skin and we all store them a little differently.
What changed in their routines
This part made us smile.
-
A lot of people used less fake tan. Many kept mousse for events, but not every week. Most ditched Thursday tanning nights altogether!
-
Sheets survived. White tees survived.
-
The phrase “no makeup day without panic” showed up more than once.
-
People who enjoy the sun said their colour looked more even. SPF still stayed on, always.
The “why” in one minute
GLOW uses plant carotenoids. They are pigments from fruits and vegetables that your body already knows. When you take them with food they travel in tiny fat droplets and settle in the outer layer of skin. That layer is where light hits first. Even a small amount can give a soft golden cast. It is not melanin, so it is not a tan booster in the medical sense, and it is not a surface dye, so there are no streaks or transfer. Results build with daily use. If you pause, it fades gently as skin renews.
What did not change
We love a glow, but we love skin health more.
-
SPF is still non-negotiable. GLOW is not sunscreen.
-
Some people will take longer to notice changes. Consistency mattered.
-
A believable look beats an overnight extreme. If you want deep event colour, keep your mousse and let GLOW sit underneath.
Real words from real people
“Week four was the first time my mum asked if I slept better. I did not. I just looked warmer.” — Hannah, very fair
“I stopped doing the Thursday night tan. I still spray for weddings, but I do it way less.” — Mel, olive
“No orange, even in daylight. My girlfriend stole my jar.” — Tom, light-medium
“I paused on holiday and it softened. Started again and it came back. Easy.” — Jess, fair with redness
Photos we asked for
We did not want studio tricks. Testers sent phone selfies in similar light. Week 0, Week 4, Week 8, and Week 12. Same spot if possible. Minimal makeup, no fake tan, and no filters. You can see a few of them across our website!
What surprised us
-
The glow looked believable across very fair and deep tones.
-
People felt calmer about bare skin days.
-
Routine happiness mattered. GLOW slotted in and stayed there.
The small print, in plain words
Everyone is different. Some people will notice a change fast. Some need more time. If you have any health condition, have recently been or are currently a smoker, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, talk to your doctor first. And please wear SPF.
